Do I have to use your laundry bags?


We highly recommend it. When using our pick-up and delivery service it is required that your laundry is put into a sturdy bag of some sort. We do not accept hampers, baskets, or any type of container that cannot close. Heavy duty garbage bags are acceptable as long as they are free of rips, tears or holes - and the bag must be able to close. The bags we sell are washable and reusable and are very strong and sturdy. They are made up of heavy-duty denier fabric will hold up for many many months, whereas a trashbag will only last one trip.




How do I get a laundry bag?  Is there a cost to me?


Washboard Express will provide you with your first bag at no charge to you. We have two sizes to choose from - Standard and Large. If you are in need of another or lose the one you have, additional bag(s) can be purchased at $3ea for the Standard and $5ea for the Large.




When will my credit card be charged?


Once your laundry is picked up, it will be taken back to the store where we will reveiew your order and accurately weigh your laundry. After an order total is determined, your credit card will be charged.




Do I need to provide any of the cleaning products for the laundry?


No. Not unless you have specific products you want us to use. We use high quality commercial grade laundry detergent, Snuggle fabric softener, and Bounce dryer sheets. At no additional charge you have the option of Hypoallergenic Soap - please specify in the notes if this is required.




Do you pre-treat stains?


Yes, if you are needing pre-treatment, you should choose either the Classic or Premium laundry service category.




Do I need to be present for the pick-up & delivery?


No, there is no need to be present as long as you have pre-arranged the pick-up/delivery location by leaving specific notes of where they will be locatied (ex: front porch, back gate, etc) when scheduling. Also be sure to select the correct # of bags when scheduling.




How soon must I cancel my scheduled pick-up, if necessary?


We ask that your appointment in cancelled within 24 hours of your scheduled pickup date and time, otherwise a $10 fee may be incurred.




How do I pay for my laundry?


We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept cash or check. A credit card is required at time of sign-up.




Do you have a miniumum order for pickup and delivery?


Yes, there is a 20 lb. / $30 minimum. If your order does not meet this minimum you will be charged the 20 lb. /$30 minimum fee. (Per pound orders minimum = 20#, Flate rate items minimum = $30)




How do I leave a tip for the delivery driver and/or laundry attendant?


In the notes field on the final order screen, indicate how much tip you would like to give and we will add it to your credit card when we process your payment.




Why does my order total show $0?


Your order total shows zero until we have picked up the laundry & weighed the order. Since our pricing is based on "per pound" we are unable to give you an accurate order total until we haved weigh the clothes back at our store.
